Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra
Shri Krishna Government Ayurvedic College was established in 1972 by Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Sh. G. L. Nanda, with its inaugural ceremony held on 20 September 1972. It is now known as the Institute for Ayurved Studies and Research , a constituent college of Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra. At present the total out Door patients are more than 1.5 lakh per year. This college is affiliated to Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra. It has intake capacity of Admission of 84 students of MD/MS, 63 students of B.A.M.S. 1st Professional per year and 50 students of D.Pharmacy (Ay.).
The college is functioning with 15 Deptt. (1. Maulik Siddhant 2. Rachana Sharir 3. Kriya Sharir 4. Dravyaguna 5. Ras Shastra & Bhaisjai Kalpna 6. Rog Nidan 7.Swasthvritta 8. Agad Tantra 9. Prasuti Tantra 10. Kaumarbhritya 11. Kaya Chikitsa 12.Shalya Tantra 13. Shalkya Tantra 14. Panchkarma 15. Yoga) and 100 bedded Hospital in its boundary. The college fulfills the almost essential requirement of Central council of Indian Medicine from the Infrastructure point of view.
This college is an important Institution in the state of Haryana. Govt. of India has been selected it as State Model Institute of Ayurveda.
